The blood samples are kept at a constant temperature of 2°C - 8°C in the cooling box for at least 48 hours.
It is not necessary to store the cooling box / cooling element in the refrigerator before use!
1.
Open the box, remove the cooling element and place it on a flat surface with the silver side facing down.
2.
Place the clam shell with the blood tubes in the cooling box. Please put the test request form and any additional medical reports between the front of the box and the outer carton.
3.
Press the activation button straight down with your thumb. The activation point will turn blue within the next 30 sec. - 3 min. This starts the cooling process, the silver side becomes warm.
4.
Reinsert the cooling element. Close the box and seal it before shipping. Attach the shipping label to the top and the red delivery note envelope to the side of the box.
TO BE NOTED
- Storing the cooling box below 15°C can cause the activation point of the cooling battery to turn blue. The cooling element is not yet activated.
- This change in colour disappears again as soon as the cooling box is placed in an environment of at least 21°C for 15 minutes.
- The box should be stored in a dry environment at 17°C to 25°C. DO NOT place the box in the refrigerator or freezer!
- Please do not use any additional packaging materials such as packing paper or bubble wrap to fill the inside of the box or to wrap the blood tubes.
- The lid of the box should not be covered with additional insulation, as this prevents the heat from escaping from the box.
- Do not place any additional gel packs or cooling packs in the box; the cooling capacity of the box is totally sufficient.
