The case study shows that cancer patients with rare tumour entities can benefit from a broader molecular-genetic tumour profile. This is important for cancer patients for whom empirical therapies are ineffective and potential therapies are being researched based on tumour-specific profiles and taking into account possible resistance mechanisms.
