We are pleased to announce that Dr Massimo Cristofanilli, Dr Razelle Kurzrock as well as Prof Sendurai Mani have agreed to join our Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Massimo Cristofanilli will chair the Scientific Advisory Board in the future. Dr Cristofanilli is an internationally recognised physician, researcher and ambitious scientist. Among other things, he has developed innovative cancer diagnostics for various clinical applications and is involved as a trial investigator in the development of targeted therapies for breast cancer. He also has an outstanding track record in the fields of molecular diagnostics, liquid biopsy, translational research and drug development.
Dr. Razelle Kurzrock works as a doctor and scientist, medical oncologist and researcher. She is a recognised expert in precision medicine. She has served as principal investigator on several clinical drug trials that were subsequently approved by the FDA and has published over 900 peer-reviewed articles in a variety of medical journals. Dr Kurzrock, who established and led one of the world’s largest clinical trials departments at MD Anderson Cancer Center, is on the list of the world’s most cited scientists.
Prof. Sendurai Mani is a tenured professor and Associate Director of Translational Oncology at the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University. He is also Director of the Translational Research Disease Groups and Director of the Stem Cell Centre at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr Mani played a leading role in the discovery that tumour cells can behave like embryonic stem cells. Some of these stem cells can then develop into circulating tumour cells, which in turn are able to produce metastases. Dr Mani is a member of several editorial boards and scientific advisory boards and has authored more than 100 research papers and chapters in textbooks
